Server were friendly and seated us, we had reservations for 2 and able to accommodate for the 3 of us. The place has a boat on the ceiling for design! Started off with bread accompanied with tuna spread and olives. Arroz Marisco: very delicious! Had mussels, shrimp, crab with rice. Taste of the ocean! Mussles: delicious! Came in a pot Tigre shrimp: shrimp was so big, it looked like a lobster! It was a little bit over cooked Ostra: 6 raw oysters, they were big! Polvo à Lagareiro: Very delicious and flavorful, not chewy. Sangria: both white and red, size was big, we couldn't finish it. There were many lemons, cinnamon stick and ginger! Would recommend coming here again!
Great seafood restaurant in Matosinhos. Great service, amazing fish and well priced. The clams and prawns were amazingly good and I loved the broth on both. The seafood rice was also excellent and I loved it. Great flavours and huge portion. Would happily come here again.
I stopped here because some locals had recommended the area. I was not set on the right place on R. Heróis de França to try but the sever/host was extremely friendly when I asked a question. He was hustling and bustling and helpful. I. was on a solo trip in Porto. He answered my question on whether I had to get the whole fish- Douroda. (Answer is no) the fish is weighed and you are charged for the fish orders. Fish is sliced split in half. Alongside with some sides. The menu is also great because it has the pictures to accompany the dishes
Very nice modern small restaurant with a small boat hanging from the ceiling. Mainly a fish and seafood restaurant with a very nice menu and wine list. Great service where the owner stops by the table to check on everything. You start with bread, olives, and a nice tuna pate. I had local oysters that were great, plump and full of flavor. My wife had the soup du jour, a vegetable soup. For mains, I opted for Feijoada de Lulas com Gambas, Bean Stew of Shrimp and Squid, a local specialty, it is for 2 but they made it for one. Comes with rice, GREAT My wife ordered an appetizer for her main, Croquetas de Camarão, shrimp croquets, four croquets, vey nice. For dessert, we tried the Tarte Brigadeiro, a chocolate pie that was rich. I highly recommend MEIA-Nau for great food, wine, service.
