Avaliação da contribuiçãoIn the very picturesque mountain wine town “Mitterstockstall am Wagram” you will find the Ecker Eckhof winery, which offers its guests very good white and red wines and good culinary specialities. The very quiet location in the center of the village with a very large parking lot is very attractive. A very beautiful courtyard with many shrubs (Oleander, fig tree etc. and many very comfortable seats invites you to visit and enjoy again. The interior consists of several rooms with a modern and stylish conservatory (big glass areas, a guest room with a tiled stove and a smaller seating area. The tables and the restaurant are always beautifully decorated and with matching accessories (photos of old views, flowers, candles, etc.). The handwritten menu has a variety of traditional local foods and wines, and the foods are prepared with local products, according to proven recipes. As an aperitif, the “Eckhof Brut” is really recommended, very cold and very tasty served in a stylish champagne glass. Whether Zweigelt, Chardonnay, Steinberg Reserve or Grüner Veltliner, all wines taste very good. We ordered a special wild ham plate, a very large part of wild ham with cranberries, really unique in taste, additionally very good bread and “Grammelaufstrichbrot”, then “Mohn raspberry slices” both dishes very delicious. All service staff are very friendly and very nice. The price-performance ratio is very good, as the great atmosphere, quality and quantity are really excellent.
