The food at Matara Ambulance is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place and the chef is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! I But I have a friendly suggestion. Sadly the reviews are all misleading. We thought it was good place But the food was below average and Very dry! One of worst places I have visited for Sri Lankan food. Will Never return or recommend.

On a Saturday, Sri Lankan young families from the neighbourhood made most of the patrons. You order from a canteen-style warmed display, food is heated and brought to your table while you take your own cutlery from a rack. We had various great vegetarian stews and a plate of fish in coconut milk sauce, and a couple of samosa and a lentil biscuit. All very pleasant if most of what we tried was at least a bit hot, so if you want fully mild food you'll need to ask. Prices are very reasonable, we had a very full plate and bottled water for less than 7 Euros each. Will be back

Been there few times and I have no complaints. Being a Sri Lankan immigrant I always look out for SL restaurants wherever I go.

Very close to metro Zara. Clean , nice , traditional Sri Lankan restaurant . Tourists who like to have Indian and tradition Sri Lankan food should visit this place.
