Avaliação da contribuiçãoI would have given this place the full 4 stars if it were not for a really strange smell in the restaurant. after said, there was a side vegetarian menu in English that specified which foods were not vegan. I have curry udon and it was very nice. I don't think there's anywhere else on the island that has a clear English vegetarian menu, so I would recommend this place in any case despite the smell
Nice restaurant near the beginning of the main shopping street on the island. Look for the painting of a deer out front (shown in pictures) We found this to seem quite special and traditional, with a style that most restaurants with vegan options don't have as they are generally quite modern. It was nice to take out shoes off and sit down for some Udom noodles. We had the curry Udon and the cold udon with dipping sauce, along with some umeshu and sake to drink. Everything was delicious and unique, especially the curry Udon which I highly recommend. The cold udon was delicious but not the most flavourful, especially alongside the curry Udon, but I still think worthy of a try for something different. Menu states that all tempura is not vegan due to egg, so vegans avoid this.
I wish they would put as much effort into the veggie/vegan options as they do with the non-vegetarian ones. Perhaps some of the other vegetarian/vegan options are better but don’t expect too much from the curry
We were here for a lunch break and it was okay. the tempura was fresh and the udonnudel was also delicious.
They have a big menu for vegetarians, but they said they could make the tempura without a rush. So they're asking if they're going there!
