I ordered a basic chicken and salad sandwich and it was the worst thing I've ever been served at a cafe. The chicken seemed fake, the lettuce was slimy and drowning in mayo, and the cucumbers were squished flat from being toasted. The coffee wasn't great either.
I visited this restaurant for a late breakfast. There were plenty of seating options available. The coffee was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely be returning the next time I am in Perth.
Disappointing service and low quality food. Serving cakes that taste spoiled and using unhygienic practices like spoiled milk in the coffee.
This was a great little place to retreat to. Caught up with a friend yesterday, got to say not terribly impressed. We were left standing at the counter, whilst the counter was unnecessarily rearrange. My order was taken and paid for. Then my friend was just left standing there. Eventually her order was taken and asked to use the same table number. It was almost too much for the person taking the order. Our coffees were made as per my order and I must say I did enjoy my coffee!!
I used to take my little boy there every week. I'd have a coffee, he'd have a cookie or slice or whatever. After so many visits, I rarely got a smile or even a greeting! I don't expect staff to kiss my butt or anything, but I've worked enough hospitality jobs to know that pleasant service goes a long way. In the end, I felt like the owner didn't want me there because my son left too many crumbs or something he was a toddler. So we stopped going. Get coffee at Diverso now (also in Coventry Village), and the owner is so nice. And the coffee is better!
