Avaliação da contribuiçãoExcellent fish and chips with a variety of other seafoods. Friendly service. Small, (20 tables?) and cozy. Plenty of parking. Take out service.
We saw this advert in the local paper for an introduction price on fish and chips. So having tried fish and chips in almost all the restaurants in Nanaimo we decided to give them a try. Now it's not the Ritz, but the place is immaculate, the service is very good and the fish is excellent, as are the chips of course. My partner has trouble with most of the batter served on fish, she says it's too heavy, or stodgy and just not nice, and I agree. Not so here, the batter is perfect, golden, crisp, thin, doesn't mask the flavour of the fish. So we have to agree that this is one of the better places to eat good old "Fish and Chips" Now they have Cod at $9.99 for 1 piece, or halibut at $12.99 for one piece, they also do fish burgers and beef dip. Excellent parking is available as the shop is in a small mall.
Visited last evening. Absolutely fabulous food and service. We had deep fried Halibut. The crust was thin and crisp, the fish was moistand cooked perfectly. We arrived shortly after 5:30PM and when we left around 6PM every table was full. This would indicate how good the food is.
This place didn't look like much from the street. We found a very clean dinning/kitchen area and excellent food. The service was fast & friendly. It way exceeded expectations.
We had not been here for a while and went back for dinner. The cod was really good and the pieces are big. Another review says that the ketchup was in tiny packages but tonight the ketchup and tartar sauce was in big squeeze bottles. Next time I am going to try the seafood platter. After a disappointing meal at a local pub, this made up for it. Good food for reasonable price.
