Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe atmosphere is fantastic! Just a heads up that there's no air conditioning, so be prepared for that. The setting is quite intimate. Tickets can be purchased online, and there are options for both seating and standing.
I had an amazing experience here! If you're thinking of going, I highly recommend upgrading to the front row seats. The atmosphere is intimate, and the jazz music is fantastic. It's a must-visit!
In all the years we've lived in New Orleans, we had never stepped inside Preservation Hall. Today, we were lucky enough to walk by and found the door open. The charming young woman at the entrance welcomed us in and shared a lot of fascinating history about the venue. It’s truly a wonderful place—both beautiful and historic. We will definitely be back for a performance.
Music is great but due to condition of the room I can’t in good faith give more. We were there for Labor Day. It was hot! It’s a small room where 50 people are packed. They are making good buck with what they charge for 45min of music. (Not that I could actually do any more in that room) No ac, no open widow, two small fans. All you feel is heat and smell combination of BO and stale air.
I love jazz and history. This place combine them. The birth place of jazz, worth visiting. They owners kept it as original as possible, including no mics.Be ready to stand for an hour, or sit on a solid bench.Book in advance online, tickets sold out fast.No videos or photos allowed during performance.
