Capriccio Italiano - Northbridge

For the 3rd time in Perth, we had dinner at Capriccio and honestly it is consistent...tasty and really good. the service makes feel at home, staff and owner always smiling and make feel comfortable. thank you keep it this way!

My wife and I had dinner here tonight. We had dinner here before a long time ago but couldn't remember specifics.But tonight all the food we tried were exceptional!We tried:- Chilli Mussels (medium spiciness; large portion) - very nice!- Strozzapreti Capriccio - a pasta recommended by the lady owner/waitress - really nice!- Grilled fish of the day - I think it was snapper - exceptional!Friendly service too.We will definitely come back here again. Highly recommended!

We were in search in Uncle Vincent's or known as Uncle Vinnie's the home of the world, well, Perth's famous chilli mussels. So we made the call to what was listed in the yellow pages, upon ringing them & asked them if they were the place, Uncle Vinnie's. Yes was the answer & we made the journey.Upon being seated the menu was named Capriccio Italiano not Uncle Vincent's or Uncle Vinnie's, suspicions were raised, but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. False advertising? A big fat yes to that question. Now about the mussels.... Hmmmmm, do not waste your time or money. We ordered upon suggestion from waitress an extra large serving for $38.00. Out came the plate overloaded with what looked like a massive serve, but don't be fooled. The tiny shells we undersized, I would say no more than a small thumb nail of flesh itself. And that's if the shell contained any mussel at all. At least 50% of the serving were empty shells! My partner asked why so? Only to be told it had something to do with the "moon phase"? ....Not a very convincing answer, as with the false advertising. The chilli mussels, they themselves were a figment of our imagination! Give it a big fat miss! If I could award a zero out of ten, yes that would fit perfectly...NEVER AGAIN :)

This restaurant has a very rustic/casual feel to it. The service is quick and staff our friendly. The food is outstanding. They seriously are the best chilli mussels in perth!! There was a nice wine selection too. Would definitely recommend this place.

Best chilli mussels. Pizza was yummy and fresh. Good service & food was served quickly. Reasonably priced and in a good location.
