Shakewell - Oakland

I sat on a Saturday at 20 o'clock. excellent tables on the window to watch people both inside and on the street. everything was delicious. beech board was beautifully balanced. patatas bravas were definitiw a 2 servier plate. drinks were strong but nuanced. come back to any case.

Shakewell is just one of my favorite restaurants in the bay area. the restaurant has phenomenal vibes, crazy cocktails and incredible fried chicken. they bring their appetit when they go because they do not want to miss on the croquettes or olives. when they are ready for the pornstars, the fried huhn will rock their world. it is a baptized portion, accompanied by a delicious yogurt sauce. they also have a churros and chicken comb that I 100% the next time. I had churros for dessert. they were light and fluffy, dosed in zimtzucker and served with a decadent chocolate sauce. you have to look for shakewell.

Everything was delicious! most of the foods serve a la carte. we had the huh and churros, the seabass and a side of garnel. they order and pay an app. the service was good and the drinks were strong! we felt amazing!

Every time I come here, I think "why am I not here more often"? the cocktails are so inventive and fresh. eating is delicious, regardless of what we order and despite the crowded brunch hour, it seems as if there were always a few seats to slide into the bar where the service is phenomenal. Thank you. super friendly service. beautiful cocktails. we sat on the terrace and ordered a few small plates. breakfast potatoes and the sauces were particularly delicious.

It's nice they're getting back to being own of the local favorites for brunch. Just the other day shrimp and grits one of their most popular and tasty dishes was on the menu for brunch and it's still super enjoyable like in the before times. Good cocktails, sweet service and a cool ambiance still make this place welcoming. The outdoor dining is cute and comfortable in good weather. This place is a local gem.
