Saigon Surface - Omaha

I am heart broken that this place is closing down in this area. My best friend and I have been coming to this place to eat dinner for a few years now and it’s our favorite get together place. I will miss the wonderful atmosphere and vibe it always had there. The food was always spot on and delicious and we were always well served. We will be attending to the new location, I hope it’s similar to this one! It will greatly be missed. Thank you for your service!

Stopped by here for the first time yesterday and enjoyed a tasty beef lemongrass vermicelli bowl and a side of hot and sour soup for lunch. The vermicelli bowl was quite large and had great flavor. The egg roll on top was the real star though, will definitely come back for an order of those. Restaurant itself is quite nice. It’s modern decor is simple but very nice, though I don’t know that they needed to mount tablets on every booth. I was the only one in here around 2:30pm and had good service. Love that they have happy hour over lunch too!

I love their 5 spice chicken wings! So much flavor and reminds me of the wings from my small town Chinese place (a good thing). Love the oxtail pho, typically I get mine without the beef meatballs. Love the flan! Personally didn’t like the calamari. My partner gets the Saigon egg rolls and the yellow curry chicken! We only have ever gotten delivery so I can’t speak to the vibe of the place.

Phenomenal food. This has become my favorite spot to eat in Omaha. Wonderful menu and skillfully prepared. The food is so well balanced and has such amazing flavor. Service can be a bit hit and miss but honestly the food is so good I'd wait twice as long to eat it and still be happy Update as of 12/8/22: the food was perfect AGAIN and the service was AMAZING! WITH Worth every penny!

Besides pho, I've never had Vietnamese food before. I decided to try Saigon Surface, and boy am I glad I did. Vietnamese is easily in my top 5 favorite food types now. Everything was expertly prepared and so FRESH. If you're worried about portions, don't be. I can usually pack away some vittles; I hadn't eaten much today, and I left full after an entree and appetizer. Loved this place! Will be back, and will tell everyone I know.
