Good place for breakfast and lunch in my experience. Owner is a nice young lady. Very reasonable prices.
I found a lovely and affordable spot for breakfast that's more popular with locals. The menu is basic, and the place is a bit off the main road—there's hardly any signage, so I almost missed it. It took me a moment to locate the entrance, but once I stepped inside, I discovered a clean, albeit somewhat outdated, bar and restaurant area. It's not fancy, but the service was very polite. The coffee actually tasted like coffee, and my biscuits and gravy arrived in under ten minutes. The biscuits were fluffy, the gravy was flavorful with a nice sausage taste, and it didn't have that bland floury taste that you find in some other places. Since it’s a local spot, I did get some curious looks when I walked in, but everyone was friendly, and there were no issues. If you're hoping to try the biscuits and gravy, arrive early—there's a limited amount available, and once it's gone, it's gone. I left a $20 tip and headed back to Chicago. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in Pontiac.
