Gojo Ethiopian Rest - Portland

We had an amazing experience at this Ethiopian restaurant. I took my wife there for her birthday, and we were not disappointed at all. We ordered the vegetarian sampler and the lamb, and everything was incredibly delicious. We will definitely be returning. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos because the food was too good to wait before diving in!

This charming little Ethiopian restaurant is a delightful spot with a cheerful atmosphere and delicious food. Every time I visit, I enjoy the meal immensely. It's a small venue with limited staff, so patience with the service is appreciated. However, the incredible food makes it all worthwhile!

Bole Ethiopian may be a small restaurant, but it compensates for its limited space with outstanding food. The portions are generous and bursting with flavor. While their drink selection is not extensive, it offers enough variety to satisfy most tastes. Plus, one of the delightful aspects of dining here is that you get to enjoy your meal using your hands! The service is commendable, and they were accommodating enough to let us make a reservation in advance for our group of nine. It's worth noting that our group took up a significant part of the restaurant. If you're looking to try or satisfy your cravings for Ethiopian cuisine, I highly recommend adding Bole to your list!

The food is outstanding—definitely try the veggie combo, which includes around eight different dishes along with an ample serving of delicious injera. I would give this place five stars, and I'd visit much more frequently if it weren't for their use of styrofoam takeout boxes.
