Avaliação da contribuiçãoI visited Chowking on the 1st floor of SM City Calamba last Saturday. As expected, it was crowded on the weekend. The staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed by the high number of customers. I had to wait 10 minutes for spoons and forks because they were not available in the canister. It was frustrating to wait for our order for 15 minutes and then an additional 10 minutes for utensils. We decided to sit outside of the restaurant, as some of the tables inside were unsteady. This was quite disturbing considering the restaurant is located in a shopping center. I am unsure if this is a common occurrence, but it raises questions about the restaurant's priorities regarding customer health and safety versus profits. Just something to consider.
I believe the utensils and tablecloths are also used at two other locations in Olongapo near Victory Liner terminal and in Pasay near Kabayan Hotel. The tables are dirty and smell bad, possibly because of the cloths they use to clean them. The service needs improvement as the food takes too long to be served and is often missing seasoning. The staff also need to be more attentive to our requests.
I'm just going to her halo halo, which is very good. I've tried her pastel dishes before and I wasn't very happy so I was just clinging to halo halo halo halo halo halo.
All the menu items I've ordered were good. The ingredients were fresh. Service was fast and servers were nice, courteous and friendly.
I had fast food at this restaurant when I was hungry, and I ordered the beef with rice. It is a classic dish at Chowking that I love, along with their siopao and buchi.
