Mandarina - Quetzaltenango

The salad with mustard sauce is amazing!! Like the chocolate banana smoothes and the chocolate orange cupcake. I wish I could be able to try the rest of the food in Mandarina for more days in Xela.

We came here 3 times a week, bc the food is so delicious, they have many vegan options and the owners and the staff are just beautiful. You make the tofu and tempeh in the house (wed and fri can you buy it to take home) and the way they prepare it is just wow, super delicious! We also enjoyed the other parts of the dishes as well as the soya caappucchino and candy. The terrace location is beautiful and comfortable and with some dogs around it makes it even better.

Stoked that this place has opened since I've been gone from Xela. In the two weeks I've been back, I must have visited at least 7 times so far. From what I can tell they have at least 2 vegan cookie types daily and 2 vegan-friendly ice creams. As of August 2014 it seems like the cookie flavors were: Oatmeal with cranberries and a chocolate nuts type cookie The ice cream flavors were: Strawberries with basil and Coffee with cacao nubs.
