Avaliação da contribuiçãoI enjoyed the spaced and the food so much at Henry Lee. It was my late lunch with my family. The open space which was nice and dishes were very worth it. A lady, her name is Dominique if I'm not wrong was very friendly and professional but not too casual, her services to us and others was very good too.
Booking by email highly recommend to avoid waiting as many people were. Difficult choice for brunch as everything on the menu sounded delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. I had the Club Veg Paradisio which had so many flavours on the plate. Delicious. Cool decor too. Would definitely recommend.
Tucked away in a backstreet just of Cleveland, I came across this by accident 8 months after it opened. This is the latest entry in the proliferation of nice cafes in the Chippendale/Redfern/Darlington area, and with the amount of competition, opening up yet another cafe seems a brave move. But this place sticks out.The menu is imaginative even against the already high bar established in the last few years. Everything is very healthy, low on fat and high on choice ingredients. Presentation is beautiful, see the photo. Even better was the "Polly Jean" dish, but I forgot to take a picture of it. The portions are relatively small, which may leave the youngsters dissatisfied, but in my age the main challenge is to check the sideways growth, so this is fine. I'd rather not pay for food to leave it on the table (or eat beyond what I need). The menu seems to change about every two months, which itself is refreshing. On top of that, it's an extremely pleasant outdoor seating (partially covered), tables spaced generously (I suspect they'll move them denser during rain to get more protected seating). We went there a second time three days after the first, that already says a lot...
Down a small empty lane is an unassuming entry that looks more like a factory door. Once you walk through it's another world. A lovely half glass, covered courtyard with white tables and black wire chairs. The menu is simple but uniquely different. Most things seem to include a poached egg but if you are into that sort of thing any time of day and not just breakfast then it won't be an issue.
Came after reading some good reviews and seeing pictures on Instagram, but left feeling a bit underwhelmed. Potion size was quite lacking. My husband ordered the field mushrooms but only one mushroom was served with a tiny portion of bread, so needless to say given he's 6"4 he needs a whole lot more to fill him up. I ordered the fritters which were not crispy at all and the sides were dotted around the plate with a 1/2 small mushroom (see picture).Trendy spot, but would I be back? No. Plenty of other great places around!!
