Avaliação da contribuiçãoDinner in Le Flora will be a highlight of the canal crossing. We went to the restaurant with children, back from Ireland. Although it is not cheap, you will definitely experience typical French cuisine, with a lot of choice, seafood, meat, salads, cheeses like... You've never tasted, all kinds of cakes, and a very nice staff.
We are great fans of Brittany Ferries but we especially like the fine dining with waiter service on board the ferry Pont Aven. This trip was no exception I always go for just the starters and desserts, no main course. This means you can feast...on a large plate of sea food and then enjoy a lovely cheese board and really tasty desserts all for £18.50. You can go back for a top up if you so desire. The wine list is excellent also and with the current euro status its even better value. I had a half bottle of a 2009 claret for £10.90.
When the restaurant on board the Pont Aven ferry on a sail that took in 3 meals, we were a little sceptical about the restaurant at first. Finally, the passengers are quite a catchy audience, although there are other restaurants on board of course....Our scepticism has been moved, but everything about this restaurant was excellent. Excellent food, efficient service of exceptionally hard working waiting staff and elegant decor all wore to a beautiful evening. The meal came to less that we expected to be sure that less than one would pay for similar quality in Spain or Great Britain. Bravo, Le Flora!
