We ordered several small plates, entrees, and cocktails, all of which were delicious and well-prepared. However, the service was lacking. It felt like we were inconveniencing our waitress from the moment we sat down. This was disappointing, especially since we were celebrating our engagement and had spent a significant amount of money at a supposedly high-end establishment. It seems that poor service is a recurring issue based on other reviews.
I have read many positive reviews about the food, but I believe I must have visited on an off night or perhaps a different location entirely.
My partner and I recently dined at NoCo to celebrate both securing our wedding venue and our anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Although our server, Jacki, provided excellent service, the meal itself was a disaster. I had ordered a medium Filet Mignon, but was served a well-done steak instead. When I pointed this out to Jacki, she informed the manager. However, the manager rudely shoved the plate in my face and told me to look at it in the light, rather than professionally addressing the issue. Jacki, trying her best to rectify the situation, took the plate away and promised a new filet. Regrettably, the second filet came back raw, after I had already been waiting for 45 minutes. Frustrated and hungry, I decided to eat around the raw parts and favored the Wild Mushroom Risotto, which was exceptional. This was meant to be a special night for us, but was overshadowed by the poorly cooked steak and the unprofessional behavior of the manager. At the end of the meal, I showed Jacki the raw filet but chose not to confront the manager again, out of fear of another unpleasant interaction. I asked Jacki to take the plate away and bring the check. Despite Jacki's outstanding service, the overall experience was tainted, turning what should have been a celebratory evening into a stressful one. I have no plans of returning to NoCo.
Excellent! Everything we ordered was wonderful from the gnocchi and lobster to the short rib and duck. Flash fried oysters were the best we have ever had. The Drinks were wonderful as well. Beautiful presentation of every dish. Our server Kayla was fantastic and made it such a nice dining experience. This is our new go to restaurant.
THIS IS AN UPSCALE RESTAURANT, that has all the features of such. Including expensive dishes and drinks. But that's the point isn't it? You wouldn't go there if the prices were reasonable. The people that frequent this restaurant are proud to spend $100+ a head. And of course this is easily accomplished by purchasing appetizers, main dish, desserts, and of course multiple drinks. All this being said if you can afford it you will not be disappointed. Make reservations in advance.
