The Hostel Porte Rouge offers a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the rural beauty of Quebec.

The restaurant had very charming rooms with a beautiful view of the lake. We visited during the off-season and found the rates to be very reasonable.

The meals are $35 not including wine and taxes...of course tip. The food is ok...I haven't always liked what I have been served...but it is worth a visit and perhaps it would be more to someone else's liking...

I am a foodie! I love trying new flavours & ambiances. I absolutely recommend this afordable gastronomic experience to anyone traveling in the Laurentians! It is a very busy place so I suggest you reserve in advance. The soup, the granite and the bavette in the Table d'Hôte were absolutely exquisite! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I will definitely be back!
