I don't know if they were underused or just weren't used to it. The service was slow and everyone seemed to run around. Everybody was nice. I was very happy that I could have a hot chocolate (first and only the holiday) request for almond milk to make it vegan! I had a cheese and cranberry pannini that was delicious and ordered a chocolate cheese cake for dessert. When it came to serve us the cheesecake, they had forgotten to take it out, and so it was frozen and we didn't have to (only other option was vanilla cheesecake, which I wasn't a fan of so I was disappointed) was a running theme that whitby vegan dessert game is not great!
A beautiful spacious retro café great atmosphere that is worth looking for outside.
To stay across the street from this place, so I was written over the moon the VEGAN OPTIONS on their windows. There was the choice of mushroom pate, avo on toast, or a chickpea monkey when I left.
Super friendly place with funky decor and a really tasty mixed bean chilli. The chilli had a great flavour and came with salad and a bread roll hearty food on an overcast day. The elderflower fruit cup was refreshing and there is a good selection of teas and coffees with non diary mylk options. Vegan choc mocha square was good and the vegetarian lemon drizzle cake really moist and delicious. A few more vegan options would be great.
Had a burger followed by cheesecake, GF burger bun, there are lots of GF choices and about seven GF cakes. What we had was delicious. Only criticism is they don’t mark what is GF and what isn’t you have to ask. The place is very allergen oriented and felt very safe, but they find GF labels put the muggles off
