Avaliação da contribuiçãoOne of my absolute favorite restaurants in the entire city, regardless of price. Their Detroit style pizzas are truly top tier my personal favorite is the “Croque Madame” pizza, which offers a light, airy, crunchy, and flavorful bite every time. The pesto pizza is unbelievable as well. And beyond the food the owner of this restaurant is beyond incredible. Out of many great experiences here, I once came on an off night (which all kitchens have), where the service was just a *tiny bit* off, and without even saying anything, the owner offered our entire group tons of free, INSANELY delicious pastries, particularly including their almond croissants, which are unbeatable. Living within walking distance of Pistores is a dream come true, and truly I cannot compliment them enough. Fantastic food, fantastic service, and even better people. 11/10.
This place specializes in pizza but has good small plates as well. You can also get tasty cocktails here that do not skimp on the booze. The pizza is from an Italian oven, and the thin crust is similar to a Neapolitan pizza. There is also Detroit style. The crust is top notch. The husband and wife proprietors met at French pastry school, and their pastries are as good as anything I had in Paris last fall. The husband got his culinary start under the legendary Roland Liccioni at Le Francais. The wife is known for her amazing wedding cakes. Shown here are a raspberry vanilla tart and the house specialty, a chocolate lover 's dream.
Don't go here for brunch. Service was not good (they messed up the order twice), food wasn't good (aside from the croissant). Lesson learned on why it was so empty for brunch.
Best pizza in Chicago… bold statement, I know. The sausage and pepper was out of this world. The Detroit style was perfect. The gelato was a true delicacy. 10/10.
Incredible food and chill vibe. We really enjoyed it.
