Donnelly's Pub - Thorold

We ate there 2 nights in a row for dinner. One time we sat on the outdoor patio since the weather was great. I had cottage pie for the first time---Wow, delicious. The second night my husband and I got wings which were wonderful. Service was excellent.

Donnelly's Pub was a leisurely walk from my Heavenly B&B. It seems to be a local watering hole. I was disappointed by the insufficient lighting within but not the food. Prices are reasonable and the food is very tasty! They have a nice patio but the heat and humidity were too overwhelming for me to sit outside. Hence, I had to be content to sit in the dismal interior. Perhaps it was in keeping with the dark history of that notorious family?

C'era un evento musicale con un gruppo di rockettari d'annata, che contribuivano a creare un'atmosfera divertente e piacevole. This is a small town Pub . We live in NF that is close by it. We visit this place quite often because the food here is excellent. It's a family run business and I believe the food is ( homemade ). It is a small dimly lit bar, but in summer you can eat on the patio. Every one is so friendly and accommodating. Very much worth the visit. MmmmSusan Botbyl

Great pub. Family owned and run. The food is excellent, especially the soup. Try the soup of the day, you can't go wrong. Large bowl, great price, delicious and homemade. The French Onion is delicious also. Burgers are thick, juicy and handmade. The pepper bacon burger with fried onion strings is my favourite. Great outdoor patio. They are a musical family and support local blues players as well as some other great names. Can't say enough about the staff. They work hard to keep your drink orders flowing on busy evenings. If it is busy and you have to wait a bit for your food, remember, it is worth it.
