Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe had an amazing time at this restaurant, with outstanding customer service. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. This was our second visit and we highly recommend checking it out.
Located in Whitechapel, this restaurant has been a staple in the Bangladeshi curry scene for three decades. Specializing in Sylhet region cuisine, they offer a wide selection of mouthwatering curry options for lunch. Despite being on the affordable side, they serve freshly made naan and chapati right before your eyes. While the meat dishes, vegetables, and rice may be average, they have a homemade feel and are brought in occasionally. Overall, the food is fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced.
When strolling down New Road, you may not notice the unassuming white window of this takeout eatery. However, as soon as you walk in, you'll be welcomed by the warm owner and staff. The low prices will grab your eye, and once you taste the channa, curry, dhal, naan, or paratha, you'll be hooked. It's a wonderful experience when the staff remembers your preferred dish and greets you with a smile. They are definitely top-notch in our book.
This is no restaurant but more like a cafe. The food is always excellent especially because it is a family run business and has been there for years. I remember coming here when I was 6/7 years old and 20 years later, I still come all the way from Portsmouth for a kebab roll. This place has the best mint sauce by far and I wish he'd give me the recipe! Highly recommended. A meal sets you back £5-6 and that's including a soft drink.
If your on a budget and need good food, this is the place to be.
