Avaliação da contribuiçãoBe warned! My daughter stayed there last night only to wake up covered with bites from bedbugs . When she complained to management they wouldn't refund her money for the one night stay. There is a bedbug infestation in room 115. Management has no intention of doing anything except closing that room. I guess the lack of cleanliness should have been evident when she found a used condom under the bed upon arrival.
We stayed in March. The staff was very nice when we checked in as well as checking out. They do have a pool, but its only open from 9am -9pm. So if you are an early swimmer. Don't count on it being open. We didn't have the breakfast due to waking up at 8:30 and breakfast is over at 9am. But I can say they have a waffle maker, juice, coffee, tea, and yogurt. There is free wifi that is pretty decent. Our room was decent. Even though it was only March in Northern New York, there wasn't a blanket available in the room and I didn't feel like going back down to the desk and asking for one. The room was clean and the bed wasn't bad. The only thing I would say bad about this place is there is NO Elevator. So if you are mobility impaired do not get a room on the second floor. Otherwise, we will put it on our list.
This place. UGH. I 'd like to start by acknowledging that it 's only a 2-star hotel, so you get what you pay for. But I also paid $130/room. Not to mention they charge $30/night/pet. That is absolutely absurd. Pet fees are expected, but for a cheap place like this, $30/night is ridiculous. Also, my room was super musty and humid. It felt like a really old basement. The carpeting actually felt damp and so gross that I couldn 't walk around without shoes in my room. So I tried to open a window to let in some of the fresh, summer air, only to find that my window had no window screen. I also made the mistake of staying here for July 4th weekend, and breakfast closely resembled people lining up to receive rations during war times; it was an absolute nightmare. The pool was an over-sized kiddy pool at best, and the lobby only had window unit A/C 's that made July weather utterly disgusting. Also, if you require elevators, this is not the place to be. With only two floors, the hotel arguably doesn 't need elevators, but if you can 't use stairs for whatever reason, make sure you ask for rooms on the first floor (though I 'd recommend you don 't stay here at all). There 's an EconoLodge on the other side of the parking lot, and though I don 't know how the quality is there, I 'd bet it 's likely better than here. Their WIFI is also god-awful. Like GOD-AWFUL.
They refuse locals and refuse to refund the money paid to reserve the room . If you book through a site other than the econo lodge be prepared to get your money taken
I stayed here about three or four years ago. I had no problems whatsoever. This hotel has deteriorated drastically. There were multiple stains in several places which were immediately visible. There were stains on the bed covers. These stains were unidentifiable in origin, but you can use your imagination. Similar stains appeared on the sofa, along with cigarette burns. Upon looking in the bathroom, the first thing to jump out was the mold that was growing on the bathtub surface. There were some other stains on the carpet, walls, etc. we decided not to stay and went to the front desk. The General manager , Laura, gave me an attitude about wanting to check out. She said we would have to be charged a one night fee for early check out. This is a complete joke since we had just arrived. She was obnoxious and condescending. I contacted the hotel twice and asked for the owner, leaving my phone number both times. My calls went unanswered. I hate leaving a negative review but they left me no choice. There are plenty of other hotels in the Lake George/Glens Falls/Queensbury area. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
