Elixyr Tulum

We have made a reservation for 7 pm (Monates) before the trip to Tulum according to many good recommendations and today we have shown ourselves to a closed restaurant bar without notice that they would be closed. We travel to celebrate a birthday, and tonight is this night that was very sad to go to their doors to find out that they are not open for our special day. We hope, of course, that everything is fine with the business and hope for the best for them, but that was a really terrible way to spend a birthday.

Incredible ambiance! The food was great and the service was even better.

El lugar está súper bonito, el ambiente muy padre, el personal súper amable, las bebidas deliciosas y los alimentos maravillosos. El salmón es de las cosas más ricas que he comido en mi vida, lo súper recomiendo.

The decoration of the room is excellent, and the service is very friendly and attentive (although there is a hook, see below). The food itself is beautifully presented, although the taste/quality is a step below the appearance. Not bad, above average, but maybe they should reduce the length of the menu and focus more on taste and quality. Music was fantastic. We had an unpleasant surprise when the bill arrived. They automatically calculated a 20% tip for the kitchen staff, and then a composite 15-20% about what we have to choose for the server. All-in-all, you can easily pay 40% in tips. I find this practice inappropriate and borderline fraud. For the restaurant: re-taste and tweaks to your dishes for better taste. But please adjust your prices so that you can pay your employees a fair wage and take normal typing exercises.
