Avaliação da contribuiçãoWalked past here one evening and wondered just what it was doing in the centre of Valence (and it was empty). Walked past the following evening and it had one couple in it. Decided to go in and have a glass of wine and tried a couple of the tapas offerings. There was a very good wine list available, if somewhat on the expenive side. I think the cheapest bottle was 28e, a couple in the 30's and mostly 50e plus. They did have a reasonable chablis by the glass (10e). We also had a couple of glasses of crozes hermitage which were ok (7e each) We had a plate of Iberian meats (17e) and 1/2 doz tempura'd prawns to share (14e). The prawns were a little odd, coming in a slighly crunchy green batter. Given that these are meant to be snacks they were rather expensive. A little later 3 ladies came in for a drink, but that was it for the night. This was on a Friday evening, it had been raining but had stopped earlier and most of the main restaurants were either full or close to full. I cannot believe that this place can survive with such a small amount of custom.
Products are local and of quality. the flavors are on the rdv with the seasonings that sublimate the dishes. The staff is impeccable.
The starred chef, baptized poinot, had opened a bistro near his restaurant. The dishes are excellent. A fabulous pasta crust, I ate a perfectly cooked fish dish with a top seasoning, there was a moment that I had not eaten such a good fish dish. and a surprise at the end of the meal, a chocolate dessert made by a young pastry chef from the brigade a delight. He came to introduce us, we congratulated him. and the set served by a very professional and very friendly server. We ate there a Saturday noon in return from the market. This has been several times since we have been attending L’Epithèque, never disappointed, on the contrary, always enchanted. and the menu of this bistro, really makes you want to book a table in the starred restaurant “Le Flaveurs” of the same Baptist chef Poinot. We advise the Epithèque that will allow you to know this young chef and his team.
A real pleasure! The foie gras, almost veal milk, ratatouille, desserts, everything is delicious! A real discovery of flavors at very affordable prices! We have to leave without moderation!

A vast regional wine map... a professional and warm service. Reservation recommended. Ideal for a moment in love or with friends!!
