Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe ordered a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. It was suppose to have a half moon with a galaxy setting. The cake was bland and a little dry. Hardly tasted like chocolate. The buttercream frosting didn't taste like buttercream. When we ordered the cake, we even drew out a design. It wasn't what we paid for. We didn't get a discount when we said, this was not what we ordered. Needless to say, we don't recommend this place. It's a 1 star dud.
Do not use this bakery. I placed an order for a custom birthday cake, which was only 8” and 2 layers and it ended up being $115. Less than 24 hours after placing the order I had requested a refund because of the transaction not being authorized at that amount. They told me “we do not give refunds under any circumstances” I reminded them that the cake was ordered 2 weeks in advance, and that I didn’t sign anything saying it couldn’t be canceled. On the receipt it says “no refunds or returns on bakery items” The fact that I didn’t actually receive an “item”, and there was nothing to return, should logically not fall into this category or scenario. No items were given, no materials were used. What a disgusting capitalistic, anti-consumer, anti customer service policy. Save your money and time. You can get far better and bigger cakes for much less here in Anchorage. Shame on you @Alaska Cake Studio. I will never give you my business again, and I will make it my mission to deter as many people as I can from using your business.
We bought 2 little cakes turtle and peanut butter blast , I think They were absolutely delicious, perfect size.We bought cannolis for tomorrow new years eve , hoping they are as good!So
I recently had the pleasure of ordering a cake from Alaska Cake Studio, and to say I was impressed would be an understatement. Right from the start, the customer service was outstanding. When I returned to pick up my cake three weeks after placing the order, they greeted me like an old friend—no need to remind them who I was or what I was there for. The cake was ready and waiting for me!Now, let's talk about the cake itself. The texture was both moist and light, making every bite an absolute delight. But what really stole the show was the frosting—simply heavenly! The perfect combination of sweetness and creaminess, it complemented the cake in the most harmonious way. It's not just about the cake; it's about the entire experience, and Alaska Cake Studio has nailed it. From the taste to the service, everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for an extraordinary cake coupled with genuinely great service. I'll definitely be returning for my future cake needs!
We ordered a custom birthday cake with a chocolate base and peanut butter buttercream filling/frosting because Fire Island stopped taking custom orders. Much to our surprise, it tasted like neither chocolate nor peanut butter…to the point that my family thought we all had covid and found some other food to make sure we could still taste. When informed of this, the head pastry chef and co-owner, Will, insisted that nothing was wrong with the cake, declined to do anything to correct the situation, and even declined an offer to try the cake himself to assess what we were talking about and potentially improve his own product. After 2 days, the buttercream filling was separating into 2 layers of ingredients which tasted even worse. At $113 for an 8” cake, this is simultaneously the most expensive and flavorless cake we have ever had. North Star subsequently made the same cake, with both flavors present, for $37. Even if this particular Cake Studio cake was a fluke, treating customers in this manner with zero interest in correcting internal errors that are a liability to the brand should tell you everything you need to know about this company.
