Avaliação da contribuiçãoWorst experience with a bartender (Andrew ever. It was clear that he had a bad day as he acted towards us in a very unprofessional manner from the moment we sat down. Two of our friends were sitting at the bar downstairs and we met them there. The bar tender gave us menus and very quickly became annoyed because we took a while to make up our minds if we wanted to eat something. When we asked about the Thursday night special, he said it would only start once the Football game starts which was not what the advertisement said. Only after we asked him to check with the manager did he do so and came back to say that the special was indeed valid now. So we ordered it and one of our friends asked for another (his second beer. The bartender then said he would only serve him if he stops slurring. We immediately told the bartender that his behavior was totally inappropriate to which he said in a very rude tone (including an “F you” that he has to make sure that he doesn’t over serve us and that he’s getting his manager because we shouldn’t complain to him. Without another word, the bartender ran off and told the manager. The manager came, we explained what happened and he was apologetic. Unfortunately, the experience was so bad that we decided we will never come back to this place even though we literally live right across the street. Tonight ruined it for us.
Had the pork belly app which was ok but not great. Which pretty much sums up the visit Had the brisket which the menu said roasted 18 hours but it was a little tough. The chicken was pretty good but not outstanding. These sides of potato salad and collard greens also just ok Ordered full pound of rubs but waiter forgot to put it in. Cut order of ribs to half after being let down by everything else. Won’t be rushing back
The wings were very good; awesome flavor and full of meat. Unfortunately that was it. The pulled pork sandwich was extremely fatty, ribs lacked much meat and barely any sauce/taste and children's cheese burger was dry and extremely overcooked. The waitress seemed disinterested and wasn't very efficient.
After hearing a lot about this place, all I can say is one word: disappointed. Ordered the mid level platter and everything (brisket, ribs and chicken) except the pork shoulder was dry. I smoke food at home, and theirs is sitting too long before serving. Sides were not great either. Brisket chili tasted like pure chili mix. Mac and cheese was average. Best side was corn pudding. H of Q has to step it up and figure out how to maintain moisture in the food. Do that and it'll be a go too.
We went for a pre-father's day dinner. good place to bring the family.
