All of the noms!!! Awesome staff and banging food. Had a great martini, some bluff oysters followed by a banging chilled gamay with the black fungus potstickers and the best Brussels sprouts I've ever eaten. Everything was on point, would 100% recommend eating here.
Yum and good service. We were 6 and tried lots of dishes. All of them were tasty and interesting. My favs were the duck leg and lamb, and spinach with whipped feta.
You may think you've been everywhere and eaten everything that Welly has to offer, but you might have missed this hidden gem. The food is elegant without fuss, the service is attentive and polished without seeming to try too hard, the ambiance is slightly industrial but somehow cosy at the same time. Come for the fresh oysters and the magnums of Milton Chenin Blanc, and come back for seasonal menu changes and the rest of the excellent wine list.
We had a work related lunch booked where a colleague is dairy intolerant, gluten intolerant and fussy. Also one of my colleagues was abrupt, direct and hangry. The staff remained professional and provided great service, while the food was superb. If you love spicy we’ll made food or simple delicious meals they catered for it all. My colleague with the food intolerance confidently added WBC to her venues to eat at. Also the espresso martini (made with Rum) was very good!
