Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe key lime pie filling is cool, velvety smooth and tart, and the graham cracker crust is consistently crunchy and nut free. I stop by at least once a month throughout the year, just to buy The Chowder Bar’s key lime pie.
This place makes excellent seafood dinners at reasonable prices. It is small on the inside with a homey feel to it and run by friendly people. The portions are generous and filling.Compliments to the chef.Just use their valet parking service because parking around here is extremely difficult in the summer.
We had to pick up item in Freeport Long Island. Took Ocean Parkway back and got off in Bay Shore. NY is on PAUSE. We pulled up delightful person came out with order. Was for car behind us. We were going to call in order but she came up to car and took our order. She was masked and gloved. We ordered fish chips and quart (very large of seafood bisque. She then delighted us with saying we got a pint of soup complimentary. Got New England clam chowder. (Checked website, free soup with $30 order. Drove to end of pier watched the water, fish and chips super crispy and hot. Very large order. Tasted the soup but we will eat that at home. It was delicious. Curbside woman was so upbeat and cheerful. She happily ran our credit card. As we waited short time for order I called and asked her to place menu in bag. What a great experience. As we are still isolated I felt so safe and comfortable. We didn't expose ourselves or others. But such a nice outing. We will be back. Thanks Chowder Bar
Nothing fancy here but good food at great prices. the service is friendly and the place is clean. always busy.
Everyone enjoyed the chowder. The fried clam sandwiches were so greasy. Flounder special drowning in butter was served on a piece of white bread. Watery lemonade and iced tea. $100 for Lunch for 4 with the tip. Definitely not worth it.
