When I told the owner, he didn't seem to worry too much, and I suggested that they have their prep cook pound the calf. As I said, it is usually very good, so tonight was only one night for them.
After making that long drive over Lake Pontchartrain causeway we were looking for good Italian dinner and we came across Fazzio?s. To start it was a nice small friendly restaurant. The service was excellent friendly and well informed. As for the food, I had the chicken Marsala it was fresh and welled sauced you can taste the wine in the Marsala sauce over all this is a great place totally recommend well priced excellent restaurant.
Everything was prepared presented nicely...although everything we ordered (except bisque) needed salt...the sauteed crab claws were huge loaded with garlic...Crab corn bisque was really good...The eggplant sticks were good with the red crab cream sauces...I had the lasagna but I'm not a fan of an all sausage version...it may have had beef, but I couldn't tell...all I tasted was the sausage. Our server was attentive took really good care of us...I'd come here again ?
Very quaint and laid back. Very nice ambiance. Food was amazing! Great flavor and portion size. Had the Mela Chicken with grilled chicken on a bed of spinach and topped with apples in a butter sauce! You won't be disappointed!
Sitting outside on this October night was ideal! The Rotbarsch Special was excellent, but I will definitely be trying the JimBob shrimp next time. The crab cakes looked delicious. Be prepared to pay slightly more for a higher quality experience than usual.
