"Our genial host, who lives in this little village, recommended several restaurants in the vicinity. This was one of them, a family-run affair. Four of us dined there and were delighted with the place. On our two visits, we found the service, by a Ukrainian waitress, warm and welcoming. The food was simple but great: the fish was fresh and melt-in-your-mouth, perfectly cooked, and with excellent vegetables and side dishes, all at very reasonable prices. I can't recall the exact bill for 4 people (including wine) but it was in the region of €60! It was by far the best inexpensive restaurant we found in Porto. * Eddie Lennon is author of the award-winning guide Wonderful Havana, and co-author of The Parisians' Guide to Cafes, Bars and Restaurants."
