Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe were expecting a wider range of dishes on the menu. Our meal was well presented and very tasty. Service was good. Plenty of space between tables.
The food was great but unfortunately the service really let them down, once we arrived we waited 15 mins to be served, and after we had to ask for the desert menu they never came back to take our order.
We waited an hour and a half for our main meal. When we arrived we ordered our drinks and an entree which we shared., and our mains. The drinks and entree came out nice a quick, then we waited and waited. A staff member finally came and asked if we had ordered our main meals, which we had a long time ago. The food was lovely once we got it. We also decided to have sweets, which were also very good. Service left a lot to be desired.
Having dined regularly at the Ritz this time was disappointing. We had the second sitting from 7.15 pm. The restaurant was divided by partitions (Covid) which did make the area feel more private, good. Service for orders was good. I guess they has new staff who have not been trained in table service. Meals were just warm enough not to be sent back for reheating. All people had not finished eating and they started to remove plates from the table. As soon as the last person finished that plate was removed, they took our wine glasses, and wanted to take the remaining left in the bottle.
We always enjoy The Ritz, and this visit was up to their usual high standards. It was Covid time so the restaurant was quiet. I had Fillet steak , and my wife had the Salmon. Due to some food intolerance they offered a different choice of vegetables for my wife. Good size meals and we both commented how perfect the Steak and Salmon were cooked.
