Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis restaurant is located on the main beach road of Tulum, but it is carved into and part of the surrounding jungle. This is accomplished in a creative way such that you feel you are dining in the jungle. The food is a creative mix...of mexican/ mayan dishes that are unusual and absolutely delicious. The kitchen staff prepare the food in full view, they and the staff are truly excited about what they are doing….. the quality of the food and service are top notch, friendly and solicitous. This place is a “must visit” in Tulum.
Our last night in Tulum was well spent at Kitchen Table. This quiet jungle spot served excellent food and drinks with menu items distinctly different than others in Tulum. The Jungle Sourdough is a must--who knew! The four cocktails we had between us were all...delicious as well. The service was good but a few minor oversights did happen. At the same time, the staff was excellent with my severe fish and seafood allergy, so all was well. Would highly recommend and will be back next time we are in Tulum.
We practically ordered the entire menu and everything was excellent. They operate true to their sustainable mission AND to sharing a real Yucatán peninsula culinary experience. Highly recommend. Wear mosquito repellent!
Pros: Delicious food and drinks, cool jungle vibe Cons: Mosquitos, disorganized menu (you can’t tell what’s a small plate vs a full entree); and for some reason, our waiter just had to take orders via memory and ended up forgetting to put in some items...resulting in some of our food coming out at different times. A simple notepad could’ve avoided this. Additionally, service was very slow and our waiter would disappear when we actually needed him which was odd considering it wasn’t busy. The service was a bit of a buzzkill considering it was also my birthday that evening and the last dinner of our trip. The icing on the cake was when our mediocre waiter not so subtly demanded a tip in “greenies” at the end (as written and highlighted on the bill with a smiley face), which we assumed meant USD. Tell your staff not to do this as it is off putting. We are generous tippers when the service is good. This place has a lot of potential and delicious food, but the staff could really use some training (or perhaps just our waiter).
We had a great meal. mellow scene than most of the other places we tried, the food was great and easy to get reservations. Hartwood was our but this was easily our and we went a time we liked it so...much.
